I do performances that often investigate deeply rooted cultural concepts like wellbeing, masculinity, resilience, happiness. I love to compulsively repeat words, sentences and concepts or to literally apply common sayings till their meaning dissolve, stretching the paradox and allowing the absurd. Playing with voice, (auto)irony, movement, rhythm and text, I take advantage of my background in anthropology, mainly using auto-ethnography, to research, quest and then forget about it. Besides performing, improvising and creating, I constantly take care of my kids and sporadically work as a cook, write a blog and post short videos on social medias.
Together with Stefano D’Alessio we founded the music-performance duo GIGGIDALESSIO.
